Creative Writing Faculty Spotlighted in Pen World

Richard Mulkey, Associate Professor of English; Director of Creative Writing, and Susan Tekulve, Associate Professor of English, were featured in a recent issue of Pen World.

Mulkey and Tekulve discussed the Pens & Pages workshop, a unique creative writing gathering held at Truphae pen shop. Professor Mulkey said, “Truphae is a great match for [Converse’s] creative writing program, which tends to attract non-traditional students.”

Professor Mulkey also contributed a piece to Pen World titled “Winter Counts:” Transforming Non-Fiction into Fiction. Mulkey offers advice for writers who want to develop fictional stories based on real-life experiences. Read more about the process here.
